Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane Card ~ Casually Crafting Blog Hop

Hi!  Welcome to my blog!  I'm so excited to be part of the Casually Crafting Design Team.  We are an international group of Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who want to share our take on casual crafting.  We will share what we love with you monthly.  Be sure to check out the rests of the design team's projects using the links at the bottom of this post.

This month we are all sharing projects that were created using at least one of the new 2021-2023 In Colors.  I chose to use two of my favorite new In Colors, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia.  (I have already used so much Fresh Freesia I had to order more cardstock!)

This card base measures 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and is scored at 4'-1/4".
The banner piece measures 2" x 4-1/2".  To create the 'flag' end, I made a dot in the middle of the cardstock, 1/2" from the bottom.  Then, using my Paper Snips, I made a diagonal cut from each bottom corner up to that middle dot.

I used Soft Succulent ink to stamp the leaves on the Soft Succulent card base.  Then, I used Versamark to stamp dots (from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set) over the leaves.  I sprinkled Gold Emboss Powder over the Versamark dots and set with my Heat Tool.  (This is a slightly more advanced step that can easily be skipped...but it's way cool to watch the transformation of the emboss powder.)

The daisy was stamped twice using Fresh Freesia and once using So Saffron.  I used the large daisy punch to punch all the daisies out.  Then, I used Paper Snips to fussy cut around the center of the So Saffron daisy.  Once everything was cut, I glued the layers of the flower together with Multipurpose Glue.

'Smile' was also stamped with Fresh Freesia ink.

The banner was attached to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The flower was attached with Multipurpose Glue.

The inside of the card is a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White cardstock stamped with the smallest daisy in Fresh Freesia ink.  The leaf stamped in Soft Succulent ink would also be good here.

Thanks for swinging by my blog.  I hope you have time to check out some of the other fantastic blogs in this blog hop.
Happy Stamping!
