Stampin' Up! Sweet Ice Cream Birthday Card

Happy Friday! I have mentioned before that the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper is some of my favorite DSP.  So, you'll understand when I say I'm a little sad that it has already sold out.  Bummer.  I do think that the new 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper will be a good choice for replacing the DSP on this card.  If you want it as close to this card as possible, get the Neutrals so you can use the Old Olive paper.  However, I think it would be fun to try a different color card and DSP, then maybe even change up the other colors.  I would love to see it if you give it a try!

The layout for this card was totally inspired by Sketch Challenge 258 at Sunday Stamps blog.  If you haven't checked out their blog yet, you should.  They have great challenges!

MEASUREMENTS
Old Olive Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
DSP ~ 3-3/4" x 5:
Melon Mambo Cardstock ~ scrap approx. 1" x 3-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ scraps for the popsicles and 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)

1.  Stamp the popsicle pieces on Basic White CS.  I stamped the popsicle sticks separate from the tops.
2. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark on Melon Mambo CS.  Cover with White Embossing Powder, then tap off the excess.  Set with the Heat Tool.
3.  Fussy cut around the popsicle pieces and sentiment.
4.  Glue the popsicle pieces together.
5.  Attach the layers as shown in the pictures.  The sentiment and top popsicle were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the inside of this card, I attached a piece of Basic White Cardstock.  Then, I fussy cut around one of the popsicles on the Designer Series Paper and glued it in the corner.
