Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home

Hello & Welcome!  I'm so glad you are stopping by today.  The Blessings of Home stamp set by Stampin' Up! is perfect for water coloring with Water Painters and Stampin' Pads.  This set includes 2 beautiful floral images and 5 perfect sentiments in a font that is super simple and easy to read, which I love!  The 2020-2022 In Colors are perfect for coloring this image...I used them all!

Sunday Stamp's Sketch Challenge 274 inspired the layout for this card.  The flowers make a lovely focal point on the front of the card while the woodgrain background from Heart & Home Designer Series Paper is subtle and makes the image really stand out.  By the way, have you taken a look at the Heart & Home DSP yet?  The front design on each sheet is a floral(ish) design, while the back design for each one is a different gray and white woodgrain pattern.  It's one of my favorite DSPs in the new Mini Catalog.

Want to know a secret?  I hadn't planned on placing a bee from the Honeybee Home stamp set on this card.  Then I goobered a little with my water coloring and didn't want to start all over.  So, I decided to cover it up with the bee.  I think it's the perfect addition to this card, what do you think?  I always think of the Bob Ross quote ~ "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents" when I make mistakes that turn into opportunities like this one.  Really, I should have that quote up in my stamp studio somewhere!

For the inside of this card I decided to keep it simple and add a scrap of the Heart & Home DSP that I had handy.  It was the exact size to add to the Basic White Cardstock I like to add to the inside of most of my cards.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I hope this card inspires you to create!
