Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala & Flowers Card

Oh my goodness.  Once again, Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper for the win!  Y'all, I just can't get enough of this paper.  It's so gorgeous!  I usually have a hard time deciding to cover any of it up, but this one was so easy to throw together with the help of this sketch challenge from Mojo Monday. 

I think another reason this one went together so quickly is I was creating it for a specific person.  Sometimes, I just create for fun, but I love creating best when I am doing it for someone I care about.  Then it's exciting!  

The trickiest part of this card was the butterflies.  I stamped the detailed image with Versamark on Stampin' Up!'s Vellum cardstock (hands down the best vellum I have ever used).  I then covered the Versamark with Black Emboss Powder and heat set.  After punching out the butterflies, I added some Wink of Stella to both butterflies and left them on my desk to dry overnight.  (Next time, I will add the Wink of Stella BEFORE I punch them out.)  

The next morning, I used a small amount of Multipurpose Glue to attach the body of each butterfly to it's matching Magenta Madness butterfly.  It didn't take long to dry, and was firmly attached.  

The sentiment was also stamped in Versamark, covered in Black Emboss Powder, and heat set.
