Stampin' Up! Share a Milkshake ~ Sketch Saturday

This card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #731. Today is the first day of this challenge, you have two weeks to play along.  There's an optional Theme Challenge, which is to feature a food image.  I think this yummy bowl of raspberry ice cream completes that optional challenge.

This sketch is fun and makes me think of birthdays and underwater cards.  Still, I like how it worked for this ice cream card.

For the extra strip on the side I started to use ribbon, but then decided to leave a gap in that area where the card base could peek through.

I hope you are able to play along with us!  If you do, please share your creation over at Sketch Saturday Blog

Stampin' Up! Share a Milkshake ~ Ink & Inspiration

Stampin Up Share a Milkshake Judith Patterson

Hey Stampers & Friends!  Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be part of this fun and creative group sharing stamping ideas with you today!

Our color challenge and photo inspiration for this month can be found in the photo below.  I LOVE all these gorgeous bright colors, not to mention, THE BEACH! I am in desperate need of some beach time.  For now, these serene colors, this restful photo, and cheery ice cream card will suffice.

This is just such a fun color scheme, I truly do love to create with most of these, a lot!  Petal Pink is not my favorite of the pinks, but it's not terrible and works perfectly for my spoon.  Yellows are not my usual favorite, but I find myself reaching for Lemon Lolly ALL.THE.TIME.  It's just the perfect soft shade of yellow.

More and more, I'm a fan of simple card layouts and this one is pretty simple.  Only one, albeit large, stamp... and the rest was piecing together die cut shapes.  Heat embossing the sentiment gives this card a more finished look.  Plus, it's just fund to watch that embossing powder melt!

I can't wait to see what the rest of our group did with this color & photo challenge!  Between the two, I'm already dreaming of having ice cream while sitting on a flawless beach somewhere.

Well, I'm off to check out the rest of this Blog Hop.  The links are below, so you can follow along!

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles ~ Sketch Saturday

This card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #729. Today (July 1st, 2023) is the first day of this challenge, you have two weeks to play along.  There's an optional Celebrate Theme Challenge.  Technically I opted not to do the celebrate challenge.  However, I think Brushed Brass Butterflies are always a reason to celebrate. lol

When you look at Sketch Challenges, do you typically try to use the sketch exactly as it's shown, or do you use it as more of a general starting point?

I have to admit, I can be pretty literal.  My first inclination when I saw this sketch was to use strips of cardstock along the top and bottom.  However, I'm trying to be better and looking at these sketches a little more creatively.

Plus, I've been using this Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper all week and wasn't ready to put it away yet!

I hope you are able to play along with us!  If you do, please share your creation over at Sketch Saturday Blog

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles ~ Thank You Note

Sending Smiles has so many interchangeable sentiments, it's almost too hard to decide which one to use!  haha  Just Kidding.  Seriously though, if you don't want or need a thank you card right now, just replace this sentiment with another from the stamp set!

Stamping off some of the leaves and stems before stamping on your card helps to create a layered effect for your flowers.  I recommend just laying your sentiment die on your Basic White piece while your stamping your flowers, just to make sure you are saving enough space for the sentiments.  This stamp isn't needed if you are much better than me at judging distance!

This is the third, and final, card in my Sending Smiles Class to Go.  Scroll down to learn more about this class, then scroll a little more for this card's supply list!

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
