Paper Pumpkin September 2020 Alternatives

Have you seen the Paper Pumpkin kit for September 2020?  It came with so many great pieces!  This one had enough supplies to make 20 cracker boxes.  I decided I wanted some matching cards to go with the boxes.

Here's the first card I came up with.  It was fast and easy.  I put adhesive on the laser-cut pieces by dipping a piece of a sponge into multipurpose adhesive then dabbing it on the back while it was on a silicone craft sheet.  The silicone craft sheet is perfect for this because it is SO easy to cleanup!

The banner on this one was made with the bits of the cracker boxes that you usually throw away!  I used glue dots to attach the twine, then used mini dimensionals to attach each banner piece.    The only stamping on these first two cards was the sentiments.

Have you ever made your own "Designer Series Paper"?  That's what I did for this card!  It was so satisfying to lightly sponge the whisper white cardstock with Pumpkin Pie, then add the leaves and flowers.  My daughters and husband said this one is their favorite (all of them, at different times).  My favorite is the first one, I love how the colors pop against the black in that one.  What do you think?  Which is your favorite?

If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin yet, I recommend trying it.  I love getting my monthly kit in the mail and making the planned projects.  Turns out, making alternative projects is fun too!  You can subscribe here. October 10th is the deadline to sign up to receive October's Paper Pumpkin kit "Joy to the World"

Here are the added supplies I used in making these cards.  All the stamps were from the Paper Pumpkin Kit!

So Much Happy - Birthday Cards

Hi!  I didn't get to play with my stamps much last week because the cabinets for our game room arrived and needed to be primed and painted!  Painting is typically my job when we have projects around the house, and I am not fast.  I think the cabinets turned out great and am so HAPPY they are in!  Next project - Paint the improvised counter top!

When I did get to spend some time stamping, I decided to use the So Much Happy stamp set with coordinating Happy Dies.  This is the first card I made.

My hubby thought I needed to make something a little more colorful for the next one, so this is what I came up with.  He thinks it's perfect for a young boy.  What do you think?

For the stars in the background, I colored each star individually on the stamp, then stamped.  I repeated the process every time before stamping, being sure to color each star the same color previously used.  When using this technique, always make sure to start with your lightest color.  I also turned the stamp a little when stamping, so it wasn't all exactly the same.

The ingredients for the 2nd card is below.  Happy stamping!
