Stampin' Up! Happiest of Birthdays Rainbow Card

Hello!  This card was inspired by Sketch Challenge #506 at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  This challenge doesn't end until May 23rd, if you want to join the fun!

My immediate thought when I saw this sketch was to use the front of the rainbow card in my April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit and medium daisy punch with the Daisy Lane stamp set.  Then I decided that I wanted to use one of the flowers from Loose Flower Flourishes embellishments as the center of my flower.  That's when I realized I couldn't use the front of the rainbow card because the colors wouldn't match.

So, the first step in creating this card was to cut the back off the rainbow card out of my Paper Pumpkin kit.  Then, I used the widest Water Painter with my stampin' pads to paint the rainbow.  I ended up not getting ink all the way to the edge of the cardstock, so I cut away the excess.

For the background, I used a Blending Brush with Balmy Blue ink to add color to a piece of Basic White Cardstock.

The rainbow was glued to the background using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then, I used a few Glue Dots to attach the ribbon.  Once that was done, I attached that piece to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped two of the medium daisies, punched them out and layered them together with Liquid Glue just in the center of the flower.  Then, I attached it to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.  The Loose Flower Flourishes were all attached with Glue Dots.

The inside has Happy Birthday and the smallest daisy stamped in Polished Pink.

Stampin' Up! Nothing's Better Than Card

Hi!  Happy Monday and welcome to my blog!  Today's card features that wonderful stamp set, Nothing's Better Than.  What's your favorite part of this set?  For me, it's gotta be the cookie (I♥Cookies!), but I also love the fonts and that retro coffee cup is perfection.  This stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  Why did it take me an entire year to purchase it!?  We'll never know.

This card was inspired by Sketch Challenge #419 at CAS Colours & Sketches.  Isn't this a great sketch!?  My measurements are a bit different from theirs, but not too much.  Have you tried one of their sketch challenges yet?  If not, you should.  Their blog is full of some super sketches!

MEASUREMENTS
Gray Granite Card Base ~ 6-1/2" x 6-1/4", scored at 3-1/4"
Real Red Layer ~ 6" x 3"
DSP ~ 5-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Scraps of Basic Black, Basic White and Gray Granite
Basic White ~ 6" x 3" (inside)
Ribbon ~ approx. 6-1/2"

1.  Attach the DSP to the Real Read Cardstock
2.  Attach the ribbon to the DSP & Real Red CS.  I used glue dots behind the Real Red on both sides.
3.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the DSP/Real Red layer to the card base.
4.  Stamp the cookie and coffee outlines using Tuxedo Black on Basic White CS.
5.  Stamp off once before stamping the inside of the cookie using Early Espresso.
6.  Stamp the inside of the coffee cup using Real Red.
7.  Stamp the sentiment on Basic Black using Versamark Ink.  Sprinkle White Emboss Powder over it, tap off the excess, then set with the Heat Tool.
8.  Run the cookie and coffee through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with their coordinating dies. Also cut out a circle using Layering Circle Dies.
9.  Trim around the words with Paper Snips.
10.  Attach the layers as shown, using a combination of Stampin' Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp a coffee cup on the Basic White CS for the inside of the card, just like you did for the front.
Then, attach the Basic White CS to the inside of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

What do you think!?  I think I want a cookie.  Thankfully, my daughter makes the best cookies I've ever eaten.  I'm going to go eat one now.
Happy Stamping!
