Stampin' Up! Sweetest Cherries ~ Small Slimline Card

 

This small slimline card measures 6-1/4" x 3-1/4", just a tad bigger than the version shown in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  Have I mentioned I am having a LOT of fun just casing the catalog this week!?  There's so many great ideas that are easy to tweak just a tad to make them a bit more my style.

Other than slightly changing the size, I also used the Cane Weave Embossing Folder instead of the Gingham Embossing Folder.  But my favorite switch up has to be the colors!

I chose to mix it up a little with some of the Brand NEW colors that will be available in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog!  These colors are only available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators until May 2nd.  Of course, if you're not a demonstrator, and you don't wait to wait, you can Join My Team today, and add these fun new colors to your Starter Kit.  (I LOVE that with Stampin' Up! you get to build your own Starter Kit!)

Stampin' Up! Sweetest Cherries ~ Handmade Card

 

Did you know that Stampin' Up! is getting ready to retire several items with their 2022-2023 Annual Catalog?  Thankfully, this Sweetest Cherries stamp set is NOT one of those items!  With several different image stamps and even more sentiments, and many ways of combining them, this is a stamp set I'm happy to see staying for another year! 

While the stamps are staying, some of these colors are not, in fact, the Polished Pink Stampin' Pad is already gone, gone, gone.  I love this pink, though, so I decided to use it here on my blog one last time, as a farewell!  lol  Pear Pizzazz is also retiring with this catalog, however, it's still available as I write this post (and ON SALE!!)  

For the stripes, I used a Water Painter and Pear Pizzazz ink to create stripes on Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  To, sort of, keep the stripes straight, I used my Grid Paper as a guide.  The Grid Paper also worked to keep my desktop clean as I painted off the cardstock. 

The 'Happy birthday' sentiment used inside the card is from a retiring stamp set, Shaded Summer.  As of right this minute, it is still available!  Shaded Summer is another great stamp set, with beautiful, yet simple, floral images and amazing sentiments.  (This 'happy birthday' stamp was probably one of my most used stamps the last couple of years)
