Make a set (or two) of 3" cards ~ Cards from the Catalog

Happy Fri-Yay!  I had so much fun making these little 3" cards that I may have gone a bit overboard!  I ended up making 2 sets of these cards.  Each set fit into its own little 3" Acetate Card Box.

Aren't these beautiful?  I made the card from the catalog first, using Petal Pink & Calypso Coral...then I got a little carried away making other color combinations.  What color combination would you like to do?

This set of cards uses the incredible Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder.  It's so cool, because it embosses AND cuts out the heart at the same time!  Plus, I used the Calming Camellia stamp set for the flower image.  I chose to use Celebrating You stamps with the banner die from Tasteful Labels Dies so I could have cards for several occasions!

Of course, I didn't stop there.  I also made these 3" cards from the catalog.  Why make so many tiny cards?  Well, it's kind of addicting.  They are quick and simple to make.  This is a very handy card size to have on hand to toss into gift bags.  PLUS, they are great for using up those small scraps of cardstock and Designer Series Paper I often have hanging around.

The background on the butterfly card was made by using Blending Brushes with Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink ink.  Then, I stamped the butterflies from Catching Butterflies over the background. The tag is from Tasteful Labels Dies.

The rainbow card uses the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP, Cloud Punch and Rainbow of Happiness Bundle.  To make the rainbow, I used the Rainbow Die to cut out a rainbow in each color - Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green & Bermuda Bay.  I saved the extra rainbow pieces to use on another project.  I might just make 3 more of this card for another little set of cards!

The bird card features Friendly Hello stamps and DSP, plus Expressions in Ink Ephemera.  The flowers were stamped on Fluid 100 Watercolor paper with Staz-on ink, then watercolored with Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya.

I used Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper and Stitched Triangle Dies to make the final card. The words are from A Wish for Everything stamp set... I heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder before trimming around them and attaching them with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

What do you think about these 3" cards?  Too cute or too tiny?  Did I also mention they make great gifts when bundled up in the little acetate card boxes?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.
