Stampin' Up! Posted For You

Hi!   Welcome to my blog!  I am so excited to share this card with you.  It is the first card I have created using a product from the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  I was inspired by Sketch Challenge #655 at Sketch Saturday  (Measurements and Product List are at the bottom of this post)

After deciding to use this sketch, I looked through the new Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.*  This DSP is in the new catalog and has SO MANY wonderful patterns!  I see myself making LOTS of cards with this DSP in the upcoming Stampin' Up! year.  When I saw this 👇 sheet,  I thought how well it would go with the 'Posted for You' stamps.

From there, I decided to use some of the colors used on other sheets of this Designer Series Paper set. Out of those colors, Misty Moonlight and Flirty Flamingo were the perfect choice.  (Bonus...I already have those colors in Stampin' Blends!)

The Stamparatus was a HUGE help in lining these stamps up.  Plus, I like to double stamp the outline on stamps like this sometimes to make sure my image is nice and dark.  I also stamped the sentiment twice, so it would be a nice, bold black.  I don't know about you, but I need the help of the Stamparatus to line my stamps up perfectly to stamp like this.

I was about to attach all the pieces when I glanced over at the sketch one more time.  I had not created a line across the bottom.  What to do?  The thought of adding a strip of the twine I used for the bow crossed my mind.  However, I wasn't convinced that was the best choice.  Then, I decided it might be nice to let a strip of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock peek through the Designer Series Paper.  What do you think?

For the inside, I stamped the flowers off the edge of the Basic White.  I used the dark blends to color the images on the front of the card.  I think it's nice to have a softer touch on the inside of the card, so I only stamped the image once and used the light blends to color.

While the Pattern Party DSP is new, the Posted For You stamps will be retiring when the new catalog goes live.  Order soon if you don't want to miss this great set!
Happy Stamping!
