The Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin Alternative July 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I'm sharing with you an easy alternative idea using the July 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I added 1/2 a sheet of Garden Green Cardstock to supplies from the kit to make this card.  This little travel trailer is my favorite part of this month's great kit!

MEASUREMENTS
Garden Green Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Card Front ~ (taken from one of the included card bases) 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
White Cardstock ~ (you can cut this from the same card base as before, or use Basic White CS) 4" x 5-1/4" and approx. 1/2" x 3-1/8"

  • Cut the trailer from the card base, cut around the full wheel on the bottom
  • Adhere the patterned paper from one of the included card bases to the front of the Garden Green Card Base.  (use your favorite adhesive, I used Liquid Glue)
  • Attach the tree to the front of the card, so that it is sitting on the lowest 'hill'
  • Use Stampin' Dimensionals behind the top of the trailer and Liquid Glue (or other adhesive) behind the bottom of the trailer to attach it to the card
  • Stamp your selected sentiment on the strip of white cardstock with the included Garden Green ink.  Attach it over the bottom of the trailer tire with Stampin' Dimensionals

Optional: For the inside, add 'Congrats' or 'Explore' and place butterflies on either side of the word.

I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to use your Paper Pumpkin kit for more than just the fabulous card ideas that are included in the box.
Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! You're a Peach

Hey there!  Life really is much better with good friends, and it's always nice to let them know they are appreciated.  This fast and easy card is a great way to do that.  The inspiration for this card was this handy sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I turned to two of my trusted stand-by's to create this card...You're a Peach Designer Series Paper and Peaceful Moments stamps.

MEASUREMENTS
Calypso Coral Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Balmy Blue Cardstock ~ 1-3/8" x 4-1/8" and 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
You're a Peach Designer Series Paper ~ 1-1/4" x 4" and 4" x 5-1/4" and 3/4" x 4" (inside)
Calypso Coral Cardstock ~ 1" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 3/4" x 3-3/4" and 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)

  • Stamp the sentiment on Basic White CS using Calypso Coral ink
  • Punch one end of the Basic White strip and the Calypso Coral strip with the Banners Pick-a-Punch. *TIP - turn the punch upside down so you can make sure your cardstock is centered and you aren't cutting off part of your stamped image
  • Adhere the banners with your favorite adhesive.
  • Layer the DSP and Cardstock on the front of your card as shown.  Then, use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the banners
  • Finish by placing three Rhinestone Jewels in the upper right corner

For the inside, attach the strip of DSP to the 4" Basic White CS.  Then, glue the white cs to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Pampered Pets Cards - VIDEO

Hello, hello, hello!  Welcome to my blog.  Today's card is this cute puppy card that, with the help of the Many Messages stamp, can be used for several different occasions, including 'hello' and 'happy birthday'
I'm also uploading a video to YouTube showing you how to create this card, the link is at the bottom of this post.

MEASUREMENTS
Real Red Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Pattern Party Designer Series Paper ~ 4" x 1-3/4" and 4" x 2-1/2"
Bermuda Bay Cardstock ~ 3-1/4" x 2-1/2"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 5" x 6", 4" x 5-1/4" and 3" x 2-1/4"

  • Stamp the Many Messages stamp on the 5" x 6" Basic White CS in either Real Red or Tuxedo Black ink
  • Use the Many Messages die to cut out the messages and keep handy the one you would like to use
  • Stamp the dog in Tuxedo Black ink on the 3" Basic White CS.  Use Stampin' Blends to color him
  • Layer the DSP, Bermuda Bay CS and Basic White CS on the card as shown.

For the inside I used the paw print die from Pets Dies in the bottom corner of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White CS.  Then, I attached the Basic White CS to the inside of the card so the red showed through the paw prints.  This step is optional.

Stampin' Up! Timeless Tropical Ombre Birthday Card

Hello! Thanks for checking out my blog.  Today's card was inspired by a tropical shirt I bought for my husband a couple of weeks ago!  I told him the first time he wore it that I would be making a card like it for my Masculine Monday card. (If you need this shirt, I bought it at Kohl's.  This print is sold out, but there is a similar one in blue, without the pineapples.  You can find it HERE, and it's on sale! I'm not connected with Kohl's at all, just like to shop there.)

MEASUREMENTS
Basic Gray Card Base ~ 8-1/5" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" (*2)
Plus a scrap of Basic Gray and Basic White for the ovals

  • Use Versamark to stamp the trees randomly over one of the 4" Basic White pieces.  Sprinkle White Embossing Powder over the stamped images, tap off the excess.  Set with the Heat Tool.
  • Repeat the first step using the pineapple stamp.
  • Use a Blending Brush to apply Basic Gray ink all over the Basic White CS, getting darker as you reach the bottom.  Be sure to start blending off the cardstock so you don't end up with a big smudge.  (Stampin' Sponges or Sponge Daubers should also work for this step.  Use whatever you have handy, or prefer.)
  • Use a soft cloth to rub off the extra gray over the embossed images.
  • Stamp 'Happy Birthday' in Basic Gray on the Basic White scrap.
  • Use the Double Oval Punch to punch out the sentiment.  Then punch out the Basic Gray background.  Adhere the sentiment to the Basic Gray background.
  • Use two Glue Dots to attach approx. 20" of White Twine to the bottom right corner of the card, as shown.
  • Attach the ovals over the twine with Stampin' Dimensionals.

On the other piece of 4" Basic White Cardstock, stamp a pineapple using Basic Gray ink.  Then, attach the CS to the inside of the card with your favorite adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Please contact me if you have any questions, for a catalog (if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and live in the USA), or to Join!  You can also click the link at the top of my blog to sign up for my newsletter.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Strawberry Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Thanks for stopping by.  Today's card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches - Sketch 495.  I chose to use Stampin' Up!'s Sweet Strawberry stamps and Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper for this sketch challenge.  Sadly, my photography skills are not amazing, so you can't really see how beautiful this card is in person!  The Basic White layer was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, which really steps it up a notch.

MEASUREMENTS
Real Read Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/4", scored at 4-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" (*2), scraps for strawberries and stems
Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper ~ 2" x 5-3/4"

  • TIP:  before stamping the strawberries and stems, hold your scrap up to your punch the way you will be punching out the strawberry pieces to make sure you are stamping the right direction and in a place that will reach.  Also, make sure you are leaving enough room so you don't accidentally punch something that doesn't need to be punched.
  • Stamp the strawberry outline three times on the Basic White CS scraps with Real Red ink
  • Before stamping the inside of the strawberries with Real Red ink, stamp off on a scrap piece of paper once.  Repeat this for each strawberry.
  • Stamp the strawberry stem outline three times on Basic White CS scraps with Evening Evergreen ink
  • Before stamping the inside of the stems with Evening Evergreen ink, stamp off once.  Repeat this for each stem.
  • Glue the stems to the strawberries
  • Stamp 'Happy Birthday...' on one of the 4" pieces of Basic White Cardstock
  • Place the stamped Basic White CS in the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
  • Glue the DSP strip diagonally across the front of the embossed cardstock.  Then, trim off of the excess with Paper Snips or a Paper Trimmer.
  • Glue the embossed Basic White CS to the front of the Real Red Card Base
  • Glue two of the strawberries to the front of the card as shown.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to add the third strawberry.
  • Add a few In Color Jewels around the sentiment for the finishing touch

Paper Pumpkin July 2021 - The Adventure Begins

Hi there!  Welcome.  This month's Paper Pumpkin Kit, 'The Adventure Begins', included supplies to make 4 each of three different double-fold cards!  These cards are so cute and perfect for several occasions.

I thought this first card was going to be my favorite, but I was wrong!  It is a fun card though, and a great one for including in your kid's suitcase when you send them off to camp.  Maybe attach it to a new flashlight for a little bit of extra fun! ;)

This one is my favorite of the three.  We are talking about getting a travel trailer one day, and I am so ready for that adventure to begin!  This would also be a great card for someone graduating high school/college, another good choice for summer camp or someone getting a new job...so many possibilities!

Again, this is another beautiful card that could be given for so many occasions.  I think this could also be a Christmas card, if you just change the greeting!

Do you have a favorite from this month's cards?

Don't miss August's Paper Pumpkin Kit . This kit contains enough supplies to create nine cards and coordinating envelopes.  Not only that, but the box itself was designed to be a keepsake box, it's beautiful!  The sentiments in included are uplifting and promote growing friendships.  The coordinating colors in this kit are :Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Melon Mambo, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Poppy Parade.  I'm looking forward to this Paper Pumpkin even more than most!  If you would like to get August's Paper Pumpkin Kit, subscribe (or redeem a prepaid subscription) by August 10th.
