Stampin' Up! Hello Beautiful

Hi there!  Did you see my blog post about the Abstract Beauty Suite from Stampin' Up! yesterday?  This suite is so much fun and so easy to create super quick cards with!  In yesterday's post, I mentioned the Adhesive-Backed Hexagon Shapes and that I must make a card with them, so that's exactly what I did!  This card went together SO quickly!

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Blushing Bride Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Basic Black Cardstock ~ 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
Layer 2 ~ Abstract Beauty SDSP ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Scrap of Basic White Cardstock
Scrap of Gold Foil Cardstock
Inside Layer 1 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Inside Layer 2 ~ Abstract Beauty SDSP ~ 3/4" x 4"

I recommend stamping off once on a scrap of paper before stamping the background for the sentiment with Blushing Bride ink.  After stamping the sentiment background, use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment.  Then, use the coordinating die to cut it out.

Stampin' Up! Hello Beautiful Suite - Easy Shaker Card

I love shaker cards, but sometimes I don't have a lot of time to create one.  That's when using precut cards and envelopes with a simple stamp set, easy dies and fun ephemera really come in handy.  The Abstract Beauty Suite has it all!

I used a bit of everything from this suite for my card, except the Adhesive-Backed Hexagons, which I love!  I'll have to make a new card soon using these shapes.

The little shaker pieces are from the Sparkle & Shine Sequins.  I also added a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Window Sheet, 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Blushing Bride Cardstock and a scrap of Basic White Cardstock.

Adhere the Window Sheet to the Designer Series Paper with Stampin' Seal.  Then, use Foam Adhesive strips to adhere the Window Sheet to the Blushing Bride Piece - don't forget to add the sequins before sealing this part up!  Attach the finished piece to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I hope this card inspires you to create!

Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers

Hi there!  Each week I like to share my version of a card from one of Stampin' Up!'s publications (usually a catalog).  This week the card I'm sharing features the Celebrate Sunflowers stamps by Stampin' Up!  The card I'm CASE-ing (Copy And Share Everything) is found on p. 21 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

I basically copied the layout and changed just about everything else.  This is a great layout that can be used again and again, and be different every time!  For the card I made in the video, the DSP was cut to 2" x 4-3/4".  The Balmy Blue Cardstock was cut to 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" and the sunflowers were stamped on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock.

Do you decorate the insides of your cards?  AND your envelopes?  I love to decorate mine!  Watch my video (linked at the end of this post) to see another way to decorate both.

Stampin' Up! He's The Man ~ SNEAK PEEK!

Hi!  Did you catch my surprise Facebook Live this weekend?  In it I shared a little about the new He's The Man Suite which will be available in the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  (Can't wait?
Join My Team today and add the suite as part of your Starter Kit!)

Of course, after sharing about this new suite, I had to make a couple of quick cards with it!

I love the little detail dies that come in the coordinating All That Dies.  These dies are FANTASTIC for cutting out sentiments and small images, even if you decide the rest of the suite isn't for you.  Well, the little accent dies aren't great for that, but the rest of the dies in this set are!  (The video is linked at the end of this post, if you want to see.)

The He's the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper also includes 2 die-cut sheets with lots of fun shapes and sentiments!  I couldn't resist adding this hammer to this card for my husband.  He really is my man who does everything! 💜

Stampin' Up! Hey Birthday Chick ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello and WELCOME!  Today's card features the super fun Hey Birthday Chick stamps by Stampin' Up!  This clean and simple card was inspired by this great sketch from Sketch Saturday.  There's SO MANY things you could do with this sketch!

I stamped on a single piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock, cut 8-1/2" x 5-1/5" and scored at 4-1/4".  Y'all.  This card was so very fast to create.  It usually takes me a bit to decide what I'm going to do on a card and I typically chat to my daughters about it for a bit.  Including all that, from the time I looked at the sketch to a finished card, it took only 17 minutes!  and I love it.

I stamped the chicken and sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the image with Stampin' Blends.  Then, I stamped another balloon on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock.  After coloring the balloon, I fussy cut around it. I used a scrap of cardstock as a straight edge while I drew the lines with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  The 2nd balloon was then adhered to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional behind the balloon and a bit of Liquid Glue behind the string.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you are inspired to create something fun!

Stampin' Up! Shaded Summer Quick & Easy ~ Cards from the Catalog

Hi!  This week's Cards From the Catalog are quick and easy, featuring Shaded Summer stamps by Stampin' Up!  You can find inspiration for quick and easy cards in Stampin' Up!'s catalogs by looking for the clock symbol next to a card or projec.t

I chose to keep the color scheme the same for all three cards.  I love Stampin' Up!'s Brights, so stayed within that color family and used Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo.   The embellishments for all three cards are Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, which can be found in the Mini Catalog.

I did step this card up just a bit by using my Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on my stamp.  Even with this tiny adjustment, it did not take long to create this card.

Pattern Party Designer Series Paper was used for these last two cards.  Using the same colors, DSP and embellishments helps me to stay focused and to be able to create without pulling out half my craft room supplies!

This final quick & easy card also required the use of my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, which I keep right beside my desk.  It really doesn't take much time at all to use with Embossing Folders and Dies.

Watch my YouTube Tutorial for these three cards here ~

Stampin' Up! Nothing's Better Than ~ Casually Crafting Blog Hop

Hey there!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today I'm taking part in a blog hop with the Casually Crafting Design Team!  We are an international group of Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who want to share our take on casual crafting.  We will share what we love with you monthly.  Be sure to check out the rests of the design team's projects using the links at the bottom of this post.

This month we are doing a Sketch Challenge, my favorite type of challenge!  I love seeing all the different ways crafters interpret the same sketch.
This is a pretty quick card to make, requiring a very manageable amount of stamping supplies.  You could even do this one with just the Early Espresso and Coastal Cabana inks, if you wanted to go even simpler.

I used my wide Water Painter to make the stripes above and below each cookie.  This is on plain Basic White Cardstock, so be careful not to get it too wet.  OR, use Shimmery White Cardstock instead.

Cookie Monster was my favorite Sesame Street character as a child.  I'm not sure why, but I imagine it has something to do with the fact that I'm I bit of a cookie monster myself!  I don't think I've ever met a cookie I didn't like.  (My daughter is making Andes Mint Dark Chocolate Cookies today...I can't wait for them to be ready to eat!)

Thanks again for visiting my blog!  Don't forget to swing by the other blogs in this hop to see the creativeness of my fellow team members!

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! 2022-2024 In Colors

Happy Friday!  In this week's Facebook Live I shared Stampin' Up!'s NEW 2022-2024 In Colors.  These colors are SO new, they aren't available for purchase (unless you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - want to join my team?) until May 3, 2022.

After sharing about the new In Colors, I also shared how to make this fun card and matching envelope, using all five of the new colors!  This is such a fun project.  It's quick, easy and doesn't require too many products!

The large Daisy Punch is on the Last Chance List, thankfully this Medium Daisy Punch is sticking around for a while!  (As of this afternoon, the larger Daisy Punch is still available!  Purchase it here)

I kept the inside super-duper simple, just adding a 'hello' from Biggest Wish stamps by Stampin' Up!®

Stampin' Up! Shaded Summer Birthday Card

Hello!  I'm so happy with how this card turned out.  It features Stampin' Up!'s Shaded Summer stamp set, colored with Stampin' Write Markers.  Yup...I colored the actual stamps with the markers before stamping!

The Night of Navy and Calypso Coral colors used on this card were inspired by my sweet friend, the recipient of this card.  The layout was inspired by Sketch Challenge 386 from Hand Stamped Sentiments

I love the little extras on this card like the Polished Dots, Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper and Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.  These small touches bring so much to the finished beauty of this card, in my opinion.  I hope you like them too!

For the inside of the card, I simply colored the other floral stamp to match the main image on the front and stamped it in the corner.

The Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and Sweet Symmetry DSP are on the Last Chance List, so will only be available until May 2nd, or while supplies last.  (As of April 14th, 3:45pm CT, they are both still available)

Stampin' Up! Celebrating You ~ Happy Easter Card

Easter is almost here!  Celebrating You stamps by Stampin' Up! have a great 'Happy Easter' sentiment that is perfect combined with Brilliant Wings Dies!

I combined this week's Color Challenge from The Paper Players with the Sketch Challenge from CAS Colours & Sketches to quickly create this clean and simple Easter Card.  Thank goodness for challenges like these because I was feeling pretty uninspired when I first entered my craft room this morning!

For the background, I used the 2nd smallest die from Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the shape from a scrap of printer paper that was large enough to cover my card front.  After taping down my Basic White Cardstock and the diy mask over it, I used Blending Brushes to add Daffodil Delight ink to the top half and Coastal Cabana ink to the bottom half.  I did overlap the two colors in the center for a perfect blend.

Stampin' Up! Happy Hedgehogs ~ Card from the Catalog

This week's Card from the Catalog features Happy Hedgehogs stamps by Stampin' Up!®  The original version of this card can be found on p. 56 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and features Stampin' Up!'s Turtle Friends set, which is no longer available.

This was a fun card to CASE (Copy and Share Everything)!  The layout is simple to adapt to the adorable hedgehogs and friends!  I used Watercolor Pencils, the original set, to color the images.  Then, I went over everything with a Blender Pen.

This is a great card for beginners, since it doesn't require too many products. If you don't yet have the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (or Mini SC&M), just cut the Basic White layer on the front to
3-1/4" x 4-1/2".

Watch my tutorial below to see how to make this adorable Card from the Catalog!
