Stampin' Up! Hot Air Balloon ~ Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm so happy to be joining the Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop today.  I love being a part of these fun Blog Hops with other stampers sharing what we love and create!  Links to all the other blog posts for this hop are near the end of this post - be sure to check them out!  Hopefully you will be as inspired as I always am seeing what everyone else creates for this month's challenge.

This month our challenge was to create a card using the Tic-Tac-Toe board below.  I chose the diagonal from top left to bottom right - Texture, Fun and Yellow.

For this card, I started with Texture, knowing I wanted something different than an embossing folder this time.  I created a mask with the cloud dies from Hot Air Balloon Dies and cheap cardstock.  Using a Blending Brush, I added a little bit of Balmy Blue ink to my White Cardstock.  Then, I used Shimmery White Embossing Paste and my mask to make clouds all over my background.

I love that you can stamp your sentiment on this banner from Hot Air Balloon Dies then place it perfectly on your die cut balloon.  The Yellow Hot Air Balloon wasn't stamped, just die cut with Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Cardstocks.

For the inside of the card I stamped another big balloon with a sentiment inside.  I wasn't finished having Fun with my card yet, so I added a few more die cut clouds.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the clouds have a little added sparkle with the help of Wink of Stella.

What card does this Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge inspire you to create!?

Stampin' Up! Simply Said ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello & Welcome!  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #752null.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along.  (Last day is June 14th, 2024)  The optional twist for this card challenge is to grow a garden on your card.

I often forget to include the optional challenge in my cards, so this time I started my card with the optional challenge in mind.  So, the first thing I did was cut a piece of beautiful Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper to fit on the front of my card.  I then cut a slightly larger piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock to mount behind it.

The crisscrossed ribbon on the side was a fun element that I don't usually add in just that way, but I'm definitely going to keep it in mind for future cards!  One of my favorite things about these sketches is all the little tips and tricks we learn along the way of creating cards and seeing what others have created.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I hope you are able to play along with this month's sketch.  Don't forget to visit the main post at Sketch SaturdaySketch Saturday to find even more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Happy Stamping!
