Stampin'! Up! Pretty Perennials Birthday Card

Hi!  Happy Friday and welcome to my blog!  Today's card features two of the new In Colors.  I think the new In Colors are such happy colors!

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
DSP Layer ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White ~ 3" x 3-3/4" and 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
Several scraps for flowers and leaves
Ribbon ~ approx. 5-1/2"

I started by stamping the flowers and leaves in the same colors as the cardstock I was using.
I also stamped 'happy birthday' on Basic White cardstock using Misty Moonlight.
Once everything was stamped, I used the matching dies and my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the flowers and leaves.
Then, I glued the DSP to the top of the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I used a stapler to attach the ribbon to the top of the piece of Basic White.  You could also use a couple of Glue Dots for this.
I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach one pink flower and two of the leaves behind the Basic White piece on the right.  For the pink flower on the left, I attached it and those two leaves behind the Basic White cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The third pink flower was attached on top of the Basic White and ribbon with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The two Pale Papaya flowers were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Once I had the flowers and leaves attached, I used a combination of Multipurpose Glue and Dimensionals to attach the entire piece to the cardstock base.
The finishing touch was to add the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the center of the flowers.

The inside of the card has a strip of DSP on the left side.  You can put this on either side, or even across the bottom.  The strip was a leftover piece I didn't want to throw away.  It measures 3/4" x 4".

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Happy Stamping!
