Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Garden Birthday Card

MEASUREMENTS
*Measurements will be different from mine if you choose a different sentiment.
Vanilla Thick Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
*Basic Black Cardstock ~ 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" and 1-3/4" x 1-3/4"
*Very Vanilla Cardstock ~ 2" x 2" (trim it some more after you stamp)
Dandy Garden DSP ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Vellum Cardstock ~ small scrap

1.  Stamp the wings of one of the larger dragonflies on a scrap piece of Vellum. Stamp twice so that they overlap just a bit. It will look a little messy, but it will be okay.  Set this aside to give the ink time to dry.

2.  Stamp your sentiment on a piece of Vanilla Cardstock.  Then, use the Paper Trimmer to trim closely around the words.
3.  Layer the DSP and Basic Black CS on the Very Vanilla Card Base.
4.  In the lower left corner, add two glue dots to hold the twine in place.  Make sure you have the glue dots where they will be hidden by your sentiment. Attach the twine to the glue dots.
5.  Layer your sentiment piece on the Basic Black 1-3/4" piece, using Stampin' Dimensionals to attach it.

6.  Hold the Dragonfly Punch upside down to punch the small dragonfly over the wings you stamped on Vellum.

7.  Color the center of the dragonfly with the Light Basic Black Stampin' Blend. It still might look a bit messy, but will be fine once it's on the card.
8.  Slightly bend the wings up.
9.  The last step is to cut a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to fit behind the dragonfly's body and attach it to your sentiment piece.
