Stampin' Up! Simply Succulents Thank You Card

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today has been a rainy summer day at our house, perfect for hanging out in our craft room and creating some great cards!  The card I'm sharing with you today is a thank you card, featuring all the new In Colors and the Simply Succulents stamps and dies.  For a complete supply list, see the bottom of this post.  The layout for this card was inspired by this fun sketch at Fusion Card Challenge.

MEASUREMENTS
Evening Evergreen Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Evening Evergreen Cardstock ~ 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
2021-2023 In Color 6"x6" DSP ~ 1-1/4" x 4-1/4" (*3)
Pale Papaya Cardstock ~ 1-3/4" x 1-1/2"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 3" x 3-3/4" and 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)

  • Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the succulents on Basic White CS.  Also, stamp the pot on the Pale Papaya CS.
  • Using Stampin' Blends, color the succulents.  For the three large succulents in the center, I used Dark Polished Pink and Dark Soft Succulent Blends.  For the succulents hanging down, I used Light Soft Succulent.  For the three flowers on the top I used Dark Fresh Freesia and Light Soft Succulent.
  • Use the coordinating dies to cut out the succulents and the pot.
  • Glue the three strips of DSP to the front of the 4-1/8" piece of Evening Evergreen CS.
  • Attach the strip of ribbon over the top of the DSP and wrap around the back of the Evening Evergreen CS, securing with Glue Dots on either side, and one on the front right side.
  • Attach the Evening Evergreen Card Front to the Evening Evergreen Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Attach the pot to the front of the card with your favorite adhesive.  Then, attach the succulents over the top of the pot and the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Place three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels in the bottom left corner of the card front.

On the 4" piece of Basic White CS, stamp a small succulent in the bottom right corner with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then, with the same ink, stamp your chosen sentiment in the top center. Color in the succulent with blends.  Finish by attaching that piece of Basic White CS to the inside of your card.
