Stampin' Up! Adventure Together ~ Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm excited to be joining the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop today.  I love being a part of these fun Blog Hops with other stampers sharing what we love and create!  Links to all the other blog posts for this hop are near the end of this post - be sure to check them out.  Hopefully you will be as inspired as I always am seeing what everyone else creates for this month's challenge.

This month we had this fun sketch to work with! It's another great sketch that will work most stamp sets and can be used in a variety of ways.  I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the design team does with this one!

I've been eager to use the new Adventure Together stamp set, so of course pulled it out for this card. Our little teardrop travel trailer is red and white, so of course those are the colors I chose for this RV.

For the slightly rounded corners on the tag, I used a Circle Punch to punch just the tip of each corner off.  While I love the sentiment banner in the sketch, for this card I decided that cutting around the "Let the Adventure Begin' worked with this particular card a bit better.

Stampin' Up! Terrific Toadstools ~ Sketch Saturday 767

Hello & Welcome!  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #767.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along.  The optional twist for this challenge is to use striped paper.  I did this by cutting two of my squares from striped paper.

The rectangles measure 2" x 2-5/8" while the squares are 1-1/4".
I used a dab of Liquid Glue to attach the bottom of each mushroom and a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to attach the tops.

Stampin' Up! Ice Cream Swirl ~ Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hey Stampers!  Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be part of this fun & creative group sharing stamping inspiration with you today!

Our inspiration this month came from the sketch below.  As you may already know, sketches are my favorite!  They are a great place to start when creating a card, sometimes they don't end up anything at all like the original sketch.  I'm hoping that's not the case with my card this time!

Ice Cream anyone?  Ice Cream Swirl is a stamp set perfect for the summer, not so much for the day after Christmas.  However, I've been wanting ice cream more than usual recently AND I bought my husband a Ninja Creami for Christmas.  SO, I guess this set does make sense in my world right now! :)

After stamping the ice cream and cone with Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake, I used a Small Blending Brush to lightly blend each of those colors all over the stamped image.  Once I also had the strawberry stamped and colored with blends, I used the coordinating die cuts to cut them out.

Yum! Another strawberry for the inside is the perfect finishing touch!  Another one was stamped on the envelope flap (not pictured)

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop ~ Sounds of the Season

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm excited to be joining the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop today.  I love being a part of these fun Blog Hops with other stampers sharing what we love and create!  Links to all the other blog posts for this hop are near the end of this post! - be sure to check them out! Hopefully you will be as inspired as I always am seeing what everyone else creates for this month's challenge.

This month's creative theme for this blog hop is Sounds of the Season ~ the sounds of the season that warm your heart.  Favorite tunes or carols that make you smile at this time of year.  I love that I was able to use one of my favorite current stamp sets, Shepherd's Care, to illustrate one of my favorite Christmas songs, Silent Night.

I stamped the main image with Pebbled Path ink and that was perfect.  Then, I used versamark to stamp the stars.  After heat embossing with Gold Emboss Powder, I used a Blending Brush to add Night of Navy for the night sky.

I always want to decorate the inside of cards.  After much (too much) contemplation, I decided the sentiment really says it all and nothing else was needed for the inside of this one.

Stampin' Up! Hot Air Balloon ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello & welcome!  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #766.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along.  The optional twist for this challenge is to make a tag, or use a tag on your card. This time I DID REMEMBER to check the optional twist before creating my card, but REALLY wanted to use my Hot Air Balloon stamps.

It just occurred to me, as I sit here typing up this blog post, that I should have used a small tag for the sentiment at the top!

I used the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Dies to cut the balloons, and my Paper Snips (scissors) to cut around the sentiments.  After too much overthinking, I decided to adhere the sentiments with Liquid Glue and the balloons with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you play along with this last Sketch Saturday Challenge of 2024! Please share your creativity with us over on the official Sketch Saturday Blog.

Stampin' Up! Embraced with Love ~ Sketch Saturday

Hellooo! Welcome to my blog.  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #765, which is to choose a sketch from the Sketch Saturday Archives.  The optional twist for this week's challenge is to choose a sketch from 2014.  Unfortunately, I once again forgot to look at that part ahead of time and ended up choosing #627 from September 12, 2020.

I love simple sketches like this one!  They are perfect to get your creative juices flowing!  You can keep them clean and simple, or really jazz them up.  For this one, I kept it pretty simple.

It's always so nice to just sit and color a stamped image.  For this one, I chose to use Stampin' Blends, which are Stampin' Up!'s alcohol markers.  They are easy to color with and blend beautifully.  After putting my card together, I decided that it needed a bit more of something.  So, I simply stamped my image again on a small piece of Basic White Cardstock, colored it and fussy cut the image.  I love how it looks popped up over the first image.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  Which sketch will you chose to as your inspiration this week?  Will you try more than one?  I do hope you will share with us over on the Sketch Saturday Challenge Post.  We love to be inspired by you, too!

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello & welcome!  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #764.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along.  The optional twist for this card challenge is to twist or distress something.  I STILL usually forget to check to see what the optional twist is before I start creating.

For this sketch, in this season, I thought the Autumn Leaves stamps & dies were pretty perfect.  I started by adhering a piece of Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper to my Copper Clay card base.  I love the rich tones in this paper!

I thought about stamping the leaves, but decided using the coordinating dies worked better for this card.  What do you think?

This is a super layout that will lend itself well to all seasons and many stamps/dies!  I hope you will play along with us and share your creation over on the Sketch Saturday Blog Post for this sketch.

Stampin' Up! Embraced with Love ~ Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and WELCOME!  I'm so happy to get to play along with so many creative stampers in the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop this month.  I love being a part of fun hops like this one with other stampers sharing what we love to create! You can find links to the other blog posts near the end of this post - make sure to check them all out.  I'm sure you will be inspired, as I always am, by the other posts in this fun blog hop!

This month's challenge was a new sketch, still my favorite type of challenge! It's always fun to see how many different ways a single sketch can be interpreted.  I often revisit the sketches when creating new cards with new stamping supplies.

For this card I wanted to use a new stamp set, Embraced with Love.  Looking at the flowers the kangaroo was holding, I immediately thought of the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.  This is just perfect!  I love that Stampin' Up! is so great about creating products that coordinate, not just with other new things, but also with older products.

There was a bonus for me with getting to use this DSP, it allowed me to used one of my favorite color combinations...Highland Heather and Shaded Spruce!  I love these colors so much I'm thinking about redoing our bedroom with similar colors...one day.

Stampin' Up! Reindeer Fun ~ Ink & Inkspiration Blog Hop

Hey Stamper!  Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be part of this fun & creative group sharing stamping inspiration with you today.

This month's inspiration is the sketch below.  After decades of stamping and years of participating in Blog Hops, sketches are still my favorite!

When I sat down to create for this sketch, I immediately pulled out my brand new Reindeer Days Suite and Festive Glimmer Paper.  I ended up not using ALL of the suite this time, but I'm sure I will use it all another day.

I love that the new Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder is so big!  at 6" x 8-1/2" you can do a LOT with this embossing folder.  I embossed the entire front of the card before adding on the strip of DSP to the side.
