Stampin' Up! Eden's Garden Small Slimline Card

Have you seen the new Ever Eden Cotton Paper?  It's pretty cool, and only available through the end of December, or as supplies last.  To me, it feels like slightly thicker than normal tissue paper.  It's great for squinching up on your cardstock with a bit of Liquid Glue to hold it in place.  I did just that on this card, but it's hard to tell in the pictures.  Maybe I have my settings set that my camera smooths out wrinkles?

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Polished Pink Cardstock ~ 6-1/4" x 6-1/2", score at 3-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Kraft Paper ~ 3" x 6"
Layer 2 ~ Ever Eden Cotton Paper ~ 3" x 6"
Soft Succulent Cardstock ~Scrap approx. 6" x 1-1/4"
Scrap of Gold Foil

Inside Layer ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 3" x 6"

  • Stamp the sentiment on Layer 2 with Versamark ink, sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder & set with the Heat Tool
  • Use the edge die to cut the Soft Succulent CS.  After running it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine once, turn the die, lining the dashes up in the center and repeat the cutting process.
  • Use Stampin' Blends to color some of the leaves and berries on the die cut strip.
  • Wrap a piece of Crumb Cake twine around the center of the die cut strip (twice).  Then, tie a double bow around the twine.
  • Use Liquid Glue to attach the Cotton Paper to the Kraft Paper, squinching as you go so that there is a nice border of Kraft Paper peaking from behind the Cotton Paper.
  • Attach the Kraft Paper to the Card Base.
  • Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the die cut strip to the front of the card, as shown.
  • Add Gold Metallic Pearls to the die cut strip.
  • Die cut a small gold butterfly with the smallest butterfly die from Brilliant Wings Dies.  Use Liquid Glue to attach it to the front of the card.

Attach the Inside Layer to the inside of your card with Liquid Glue.  Place another gold butterfly in the corner, securing it with Liquid Glue.

Happy Stamping!
