Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Wishes Cash Gift Card

Hi! Welcome to my blog.  Today's project is this fun Christmas card/cash holder!  I love making these to make cash gifts a bit more fun.  They don't take much time, and really don't take much product.  Just make sure you save those cardstock scraps for other projects!

I chose to use the Christmas Trees Dies from the 2021 July - December Mini Catalog.  This is a great die set to have on hand, even if you don't have the Whimsical Trees stamps that coordinate with it.  Of course, if you can, I totally recommend getting the stamps too.  It's one of my favorite sets!

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Evening Evergreen Cardstock ~ 7" x 7", score at 1-1/2" and 4-1/2"
Layer 1 ~ Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper ~ 2" x 7"
Layer 2 ~ Cherry Cobbler Cardstock ~ 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
scraps of Basic White Cardstock

Inside Layer ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 2-3/4" x 6"
scraps of Evening Evergreen Cardstock and Soft Succulent Cardstock

  • Heat Emboss 'Merry Christmas' with Gold Embossing Powder on the inside of the card, as shown.
  • Cut out three Basic White trees with the Christmas Trees Dies. Use Wink of Stella to add a bit of sparkle to these trees.
  • Emboss Layer 2 with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.  Then, cut it out with one of the circle dies from Layering Circles Dies.
  • Wrap a piece of ribbon around Layer 1, attaching it with Tear & Tape.  Tie a faux bow around the ribbon.
  • Attach Layer 1 to the card front, aligning the bottom edge of layer 1 with the bottom edge of the top flap of your card.
  • Use Liquid Glue to adhere the three trees to Layer 2, as shown.
  • Place Stampin' Dimensionals behind Layer 2, then attach it to the card as shown.

I suggest adding a 6" x 2-3/4" Basic White Cardstock piece for writing your message on.  This piece can be decorated with a couple of small trees, like you used on the front of the card, and tucked into the pocket with your cash gift.

Thanks for visit my blog!  I'm including a link to the video tutorial below.  You will find the clickable product list for this project at the end of this post, if you need to order any of these items.
