Paper Pumpkin February 2021 Alternate Ideas

Hello!  Are you a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber?  If so, here are some alternate ideas for February's Paper Pumpkin Kit.  If not, you can be!  You can click the link at the bottom of this post, or subscribe here!

Card 1

One of the things I love to do with Paper Pumpkin kits is to take apart the envelopes and use the decorative side like Designer Series Paper for backgrounds.  Which is exactly what I did on this first card.  To take apart the envelope, start by trimming off just the edges, so you don't waste any of the pretty part.  You can also use the leftover white part for stamping on.

Once I took apart the envelope, I cut the larger portion down to 4"x5-1/4" and used it for my background.  (I saved the top portion, I might use it on another card later)

I used the Mossy Meadow that was included with this month's kit to stamp the rectangle border and the sentiment on this card. Then, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the background, the white circle to the green circle, the inner rectangle and the larger corner flowers.  Stampin' Dimensionals were used to attach the circle and the smaller flower to the card.

Card 2

This card was so fast to put together!  I started by cutting the front of one of the cards so that it measured 5-1/2"x4", then attached it to a Just Jade card base.

The flowers and the polka dot piece were part of the kit, so the only stamping on this card was the sentiment.  After stamping the sentiment, I trimmed that piece with my trusty Paper Snips. Once again, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the flowers and the sentiment.

Card 3

This third card took a little longer, but only because I stamped these flowers and colored them in using Blender Pens and Stampin' Pads.  This is such a great way to add color to your images if you don't have all the blends or Stampin' Markers!

After coloring, I stamped the sentiment in Whisper White on a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, then layered that over a small piece of the back of the card that I cut the front flower piece off of.  The black sequins were part of this month's kit. ;)

I had some leftover strips when I cut the pieces for my card fronts from the card, so I used one of them to decorate the inside of the card.  I also used a piece from the 2nd card to decorate the inside of it. Easy Peasy!

I truly enjoy getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail every month!  I always like to make one of each of the projects included in the kit (I think of it as my warm-up).  Then, I like to get creative and see what else I can do with the included supplies.

EVERY Paper Pumpkin Kit comes with a Stampin' Spot (small ink pad) and a set of stamps.  March's Paper Pumpkin Kit also comes with a FREE stencil set and Stampin' Sponge!  Don't miss your chance to get this amazing kit.  Wednesday, March 10th is the last day to sign up for Paper Pumpkin and receive this special kit.
