Stampin' Up! Color & Contour - Card from the Catalog

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  I have decided to start sharing a 'Card from the Catalog' on Fridays, since I often need to post for Blog Hops or Design Teams on Saturdays.  So, today's card is one from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. You can find it on p. 98.  I changed very little about this card, maybe the placement of some of the elements, and I think I left off a flower stem.  That's it.

This stamp set is a happy stamp set!  It just oozes cheerfulness and I love it!  I hope you do too.  When I create cards from the catalog, I always make a video for them.  You can find the link for that at the bottom of this post.

MEASUREMENTS
Thick Basic White Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper ~ 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" (*2), 2-3/4" x 1-1/2", 2" x 2-1/2" (*3), 2" x 2" (*3)

  • Begin by stamping the stems and leaves of the flowers, using Mossy Meadow ink.  You don't need to stamp the flowers that are attached to the stems.
  • Stamp the flower outlines three times.  Once with Calypso Coral, then Gorgeous Grape, then Magenta Madness
  • Stamp the insides of the flowers three times.  Once with Petal Pink, then Highland Heather, then Flirty Flamingo
  • Stamp the sentiment with Magenta Madness
  • Use the coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out the flowers, sentiment and stems.  Then, use them to cut one side of each of the 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" strips of Basic White CS
  • Begin putting your card together by attaching the DSP to the front of the Card Base with your favorite adhesive (I used Liquid Glue)
  • Now glue down the stems, at varying heights.  Be sure to leave room for the scalloped edges above and below.
  • Now glue down the scalloped edges along the top and bottom.
  • Attach the flower tops with Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Fold an 11" piece of ribbon behind the sentiment piece.  Attach the ribbon with several Glue Dots...you'll need enough to hold down each layer.
  • Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the sentiment over the ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Please contact me if you have any questions, for a catalog (if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and live in the USA), or to Join!  You can also click the link at the top of my blog to sign up for my newsletter.
