Monday's on my blog are typically for masculine cards.  Once a month, Monday's are also for Kylie & Bruno's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.  The cards we create for the blog hop are usually thank you cards for our amazing customers.  SO, this one Monday a month I either make two cards, or create a card that can be given to pretty much anybody.  I think I succeeded with a card perfect for anyone this time.  What do you think?

MEASUREMENTS
Night of Navy Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" (*2), 2-1/2" x 3/4" and a scrap piece (for the small flower)
Night of Navy Cardstock ~ 2-3/4" x 1"

  • Stamp Night of Navy flowers and Granny Apple Green leaves randomly over one of the 4" pieces of Basic White CS
  • Stamp of once before randomly stamping the solid flower on the inside of a few of the stamped flowers.
  • Stamp one extra flower on the scrap of Basic White CS.  Don't forget to stamp off before stamping the inside of the flower.
  • Fussy cut around the extra flower with Paper Snips.
  • Use Glue Dots to attach a 5" piece of Smoky Slate Textured Ribbon.  Then, tie a 'faux' bow around the ribbon.  (I attached the ribbon with 4 glue dots, two on either end of the ribbon, behind the stamped cardstock)
  • Stamp the sentiment, using Night of Navy, on the 3/4" piece of Basic White CS.  Punch on both ends with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
  • Punch both ends of the 1" strip of Night of Navy CS.  Then, glue the punched sentiment piece to the punched Night of Navy
  • Glue the flower you fussy cut earlier to the sentiment piece.
  • Time to assemble your card!  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the stamped 4" Basic White CS to the front of your Night of Navy Card Base.  Then, use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the punched sentiment piece to the front of the card.
  • Finish by adding a Matte Decorative Dot to the center of the flower.  Then, glue the other piece of 4" Basic White CS to the inside of the card.

I have been very much into creating my own 'Designer Series Paper' recently, so I began by stamping Night of Navy flowers and Granny Apple Green leaves all over a piece of 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White Cardstock.  Then, I randomly stamped the solid flower on the inside of a few of the flowers.  (This is called two-step stamping)  I stamped one extra flower on a scrap of Basic White, including the inside of the flower, then I fussy cut around it with Paper Snips.

I hope you enjoyed this card!
