Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop October 2021 - Intricate Leaves Thanks Cards

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop!  We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration.  We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set.  We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

I love that every month the theme for this blog hop is Thank You Cards!  Specifically for our customers and team members.  Customers are the heart of our business and I love and appreciate every one of mine!  So, one of the ways I say thank you for supporting my small business is to send everyone who order this month one of these handmade thank you cards.

For this month's cards I chose to use Intricate Leaves Dies and Biggest Wish stamps.  These dies are gorgeous, and I find myself using them often for thank you cards.  I especially love to use them with specialty paper, like this Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Misty Moonlight Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Just Jade Cardstock ~ 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
Layer 2 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 3 (Inside) ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
scraps of Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper for the leaves

  • Use the 3rd largest circle from Layering Circles Dies to cut out a piece of scratch paper measuring at least 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Set the circle aside (or trash), then use the outline to cover Layer 2.  In the empty space left by the circle, use Blending Brushes to add Just Jade ink to the bottom 2/3rds of the circle, and Misty Moonlight ink to the top.  (Keep the outline to use again inside the card)
  • Stamp 'thanks' in the bottom corner with Misty Moonlight Ink.
  • Adhere the layers together, as shown.
  • Use the Intricate Leaves Dies to cut a leaf out of the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.
  • Apply Liquid Glue to the back of the leaf with a Sponge Dauber.  (Place the leaf upside down on a Silicone Sheet to keep glue off of your work surface).  Attach the leaf to the card front, as shown.

Place the circle outline on the lower right corner of Layer 3.  Use Blending Brushes to add Just Jade and Misty Moonlight inks.  Stamp 'Friend' with Misty Moonlight.  Glue Layer 3 to the inside of your card.  Then, use the small leaf die from Intricate Leaves Dies to cut a small leaf from the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.  Adhere this leaf inside your card, as shown.

I hope you enjoy this card!  Don't forget to check out all the other cards from the amazing demonstrators in this blog hop.

Happy Stamping!
