Stampin' Up! Delivering Cheer Birthday Card

Stampin' Up!'s Delivering Cheer Stamp Set is not just for making Christmas Cards, it is also a wonderful set for creating Birthday Cards!  I love playing with this set and using different colors for different occasions.  Stampin' Up! Blends are perfect for coloring the images.

This card was inspired by this sketch from Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #PCC446.  I love using sketches when creating!  The colors were inspired by Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC267.  Isn't this a fun color combination!?

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Bermuda Bay Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Bermuda Bay Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 2 ~ Pattern Party Host Designer Series Paper ~ 1-3/4" x 4-1/4"
Layer 3 ~ Real Red Cardstock ~ 3/4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 4 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 2-1/4"
Layer 5 ~ Daffodil Delight ~ 3/4" x 2-1/2"

  • Place Layer 4 (Basic White CS) on the Stamparatus and secure it with magnets.  Stamp the skirt and legs using Memento Black ink.  Then, stamp the upper portion, using the Stamparatus to line up your stamp perfectly.
  • Use Stampin' Blends to color the image.
  • Stamp 'happy birthday' in the center of Layer 5 (Daffodil Delight CS)
  • Use the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder to emboss Layer 1 (Bermuda Bay CS)
  • Use the scalloped edge from Scalloped Contours Dies to cut Layer 3 (Real Red CS). *Tip: use washi/craft tape to hold the ends of the die down so you are certain to get a straight cut.
  • Use the banner die from Potted Succulents Dies to cut out the sentiment.  It's longer than needed, so only run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine halfway.  Then, reposition the die and run the other side through the machine.
  • Adhere Layers 1, 2 and 3, as shown, using your favorite adhesive.
  • Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere Layer 4.
  • Place 2 Stampin' Dimensionals on the sentiment strip behind 'birthday'.  Add a bit of liquid glue behind 'happy'.  Then, place on the card front as shown.

I hope you like this card!
