Stampin' Up! Delivering Cheer - Card from the Catalog

It's FriYAY!  I hope you are having a cheerful Friday.  Today's card is one from the July-December Mini Catalog, p. 32. If you have been following my blog, or my YouTube channel for any length of time, you know I LOVE to get card inspiration straight from Stampin' Up!'s publications, like the Mini Catalogs and Annual Catalogs.  Sometimes I change the cards a little, sometimes a lot, and sometimes not a bit for these posts.  This one just has one tiny change.  Instead of using the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper in the background, I used Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper.

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Mossy Meadow Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/4", score at 4-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Whimsy & Wonder SDSP ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 2 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 2-1/4" x 4-1/2"
Layer 3 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 3/4" x 2-1/4"

Inside Layer 1 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Inside Layer 2 ~ Whimsy & Wonder SDSP ~ 1/2" x 5-1/4"

  • Stamp the image on Layer 2 with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  (Using the Stamparatus makes lining up the images much easier.)  Use Real Red to stamp the stockings.
  • Use Watercolor Pencils to color the image.  (I used Real Red, Old Olive, Basic Gray & Early Espresso pencils)
  • Adhere Layers 1 & 2 to the card base with your favorite adhesive (I used Liquid Glue)
  • Stamp the sentiment on Layer 3 using Real Red Ink.  Then, use the Pick a Banner Punch to punch a banner end on the right side of the sentiment.
  • Tie a bow with Linen Thread and use a glue dot to attach it to the back of the sentiment banner.
  • Then, use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the front of the card, as shown.

For the inside, stamp the top of the tree on the bottom right corner of (Inside) Layer 1.  Then, color it with the Old Olive Watercolor Pencil.  Next, use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment.  Adhere the strip of Whimsy & Wonder SDSP to the edge of (Inside) Layer 1. Finish by gluing the inside layers to the inside of the card.

I love finding inspiration in Stampin' Up!'s catalogs and hope you do too!  Let me know if there is a certain card you would like to learn to make, and I will do my best to show you how.

Happy stamping!
