Stampin' Up! Sweet Little Stockings ~ Card from the Catalog p. 30

This might, or might not, be my last card from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog.  I thought it was, but maybe not.  We will see next week!

This card can be found on p. 30 and uses that oh so adorable Stampin' Up! Sweet Little Stockings stamp set.  Do you know how hard it was not to add one of the cute little critters to this card?  I was very tempted to add a cat just above the tag. (I still might do it! lol)

This entire suite is only available until the end of December, or while supplies last.  If you have had your eye on this one, don't wait!  There's a link straight to my online store at the bottom of this post so you can purchase it right now.

Scraps of Old Olive Cardstock

Inside Layer ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"

  • Stamp two candy canes and two of each gift box using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the Basic White scraps.
  • Use Watercolor Pencils to color the images.  (If desired, use the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and a ruler to draw lines on one of the smaller gift boxes before coloring)
  • Go over the colored images with a Blender Pen.  Be sure to clean the tip between colors.
  • Stamp the sentiment with Evening Evergreen ink
  • Use the coordinating Stocking Dies to cut out the tag, sentiment, images and greenery.
  • Watch the video below to see how I cut the small piece of DSP to go under the tag.  I can't explain it, but I can demonstrate it.
  • Use Liquid Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the pieces to the top of the tag.
  • Add the Decorative Matte Dots, as shown.
  • Attach the small DSP piece to the tag with a Stampin' Dimensional.
  • Place Stampin' Dimensionals behind the tag and a bit of Liquid Glue behind the small DSP piece before attaching them to the card base.

On the inside layer, stamp the sentiment with the Evening Evergreen ink.  Then, use Tuxedo Black to stamp another gift box and color it with the Watercolor Pencils.  Attach the inside layer to the inside of your card.

I hope this card inspires you to create something today!

Happy Stamping!
