Stampin' Up! Daffodil Afternoon DSP & Daisy Lane ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today's card was inspired by Sketch #694 from Sketch Saturday.  This challenge will run a week if you would like to join the challenge!  Need more inspiration?  Look back at the previous sketches to find a sketch that sparks your creativity!

For this card I decided to start with Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper.  It didn't take me long to decide which beautiful patterns to use.  I thought it might take a minute to decide on a stamp set since it wasn't in my budget to purchase the beautiful Daffodil Daydream Bundle that coordinates with this DSP so well.  However, as soon as I laid eyes on my Daisy Punch, I knew that Daisy Lane stamps were the way to go!  :)

After gluing the DSP to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, I decided to go around the edges with the brush tip of my Black Stampin' Write Marker.  This just helped to give the edges a finished look.  Can you see it in the above picture, on the left edge?

For the inside, I decided to stamp the smallest daisy and 'Friend' in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I used the Very Vanilla Cardstock here, too.  In the center of the daisy here, and on the front of the card, I used the Dark Stampin' Blend Marker to color in the center of the flower.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Happy Stamping!
