Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Garden ~ Stampin' Inkspirations Blog HOP

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm excited to be joining the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop today!  This month's color challenge was to use shades of blue.  Stampin' Up! has so many fabulous shades of blue to choose from.   I can't wait to see what everyone else created for this challenge!  (Links for the rest of the blogs in this Blog Hop are near the end of this post)

Have you seen the new Sun Prints Designer Series Paper?  It's the perfect starting point for this challenge, since it includes Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Starry Sky and almost every pattern is focused around these three shades of blue.

Instead of using the rest of the stunning Sun Prints Suite, I decided to use Dragonfly Garden stamps with Go To Greetings again.  I'm loving this pairing of stamps! (I used them in yesterday's blog post as well)

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Night of Navy Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 2 ~ Sun Prints DSP ~ 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
Layer 3 ~ Vellum Cardstock ~ 2-1/2" x 3"
Layer 4 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 2-3/4" x 3/4"
Layer 5 ~ Night of Navy Cardstock ~ 2-5/8" x 5/8"
Scrap of Pacific Point Cardstock for the Dragonfly
Inside Layer ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"

It's so handy that the Basics Emboss Powders includes black and white.  I used the black powder for the dragonfly, then the white powder for the sentiment.  When stamping the sentiment, I do recommend stamping on a scrap of Night of Navy, embossing, then trimming around the sentiment.  For me, this makes it easier to get my sentiment straight.

Thanks again for visiting my blog today.  I hope you were inspired to create something great!  Don't forget to check out the other blogs in this hop.  I know I'm looking forward to doing just that tomorrow afternoon!
Happy Stamping!
