hello. Have you tried combining the Around the Bend stamp set from Stampin' Up! with other stamps yet? I decided to step a little outside my normal with this card, and I am so glad I did! I wanted to use my Gilded Leafing, but I also wanted to use some bright colors. This card, with beautiful colors, Gilded Leafing details and In the Moment Stamps is the result.
'Splattering' the Gilded Leafing on the background is one of my favorite ways to use this stuff. You can see how I did that in this Vintage Christmas YouTube Video I shared last October.
After cutting the edge of the card base with the Around the Bend Die, I used an old & damp paintbrush to apply a layer of liquid glue to a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then, I covered the glue with Gilded Leafing, pressing it into the glue and smoothing it out. I attached one edge of the finished piece to the edge of the front of the card, so that it finished off the card front.
To get just the 'hello' sentiment from the Around the Bend stamps, mask 'THERE' with a small sticky note before inking and stamping the sentiment. Heat emboss the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder, then fussy cut.
