Stampin' Up! Bird's Eye View ~ Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I'm excited to be joining the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop today.  I love being a part of these fun Blog Hops with other stampers sharing what we love and create!  Links to all the other blog posts for this hop are near the end of this post! - be sure to check them out! Hopefully you will be as inspired as I always am seeing what everyone else creates for this month's challenge.

This month's challenge was to create using the sketch below.  I'm so excited about this sketch because it's like it was made for Stampin' Up!'s new Heartfelt Hexagon Punch!  Bonus, this punch is surprisingly perfect with the stamp set I've been using all week, Bird's Eye View!

To create this shape, I pulled the bottom out of the punch and only punch the top of my piece.  Did you watch Stampin' Up!'s World Card Making Day presentation last weekend?  They shared this technique with this exact punch!  It's one of my long-time favorite 'tricks of the trade'.

The bird and books were colored with Pebble Path and Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends.  I chose these colors to coordinate with the Fresh as a Daisy DSP.  I have to tell you, I'm a little surprised by how much I love the combo!  And the Garden Green glasses..."swoon." lol

After stamping the sentiment on a scrap piece of Garden Green Cardstock, I just quickly and simply trimmed around it with my Paper Snips (a.k.a. my favorite scissors).  For the finishing touch I added just a couple of 2023-2025 In Color Dots.  I know the general rule is to add an odd number of bling, but I felt like two just worked for this card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!  I hope you were inspired to create something fun.  Speaking of inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the blogs in this Blog Hop.  Links are just below.

Happy Stamping!
