Stampin' Up! Planted Paradise ~ Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hey Stampers!  Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be part of this fun & creative group sharing stamping inspiration with you today!

Our inspiration this month came from the photo below.  It's such a beautiful photo, full of rich colors and a great excuse to get to use some of Stampin' Up!'s new In Colors!  I do not have a current stamp set that includes a hummingbird, so I decided to use a stamp set that included plants and a small butterfly instead, Planted Paradise.

Starry Sky is a gorgeous In Color that will be retiring in just one week!  I couldn't resist using this color to stamp the largest image on my card, the pot.  The leaves were stamped with Pretty Peacock and the NEW Shy Shamrock.  After stamping the first three large leaves, I masked them before adding the next stamp, then masked that leaf also.  I continued masking and stamping until I had filled the space.

The butterfly was stamped with my favorite new In Color, Petunia Pop, which was also used for the mat between the stamped image and the card base.  I snuck in a little Berry Burst by adding a few gems from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.

This stamp set doesn't include any sentiments.  Usually that is a fabulous reason for me to use a sentiment only stamp set.  This time I decided that no sentiment is actually needed...sometimes it's nice to just have a blank notecard ready to send.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!  Be sure to visit the rest of the blogs listed below for even more inspiration.  Hopefully you will find inspiration somewhere along the hop!

Happy Stamping!
