Stampin' Up! Sailing Home Congratulations Card

Hello!  Welcome to my blog.  For today's masculine card I used Stampin' Up!'s Sailing Home stamp set and the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies.  The layout for this card was inspired by this challenge at the Fusion Card Challenge Blog.

MEASUREMENTS
Misty Moonlight Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
DSP ~ 1" x 5-1/2"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 2 scraps approx. 2" x 2" and another piece 4" x 5-1/4"
Balmy Blue Cardstock ~ 1-1/2" x 1-1/2"
Crumb Cake Cardstock ~ 1-3/4" x 1-3/4"

1.  Stamp the sentiment on the Crumb Cake CS using Misty Moonlight Ink.
2.  Stamp the birds on the Balmy Blue Cardstock using Basic Gray Ink.
3.  Stamp the sailboat on Basic White CS using Versamark.  Sprinkle Copper Embossing Powder over the stamped image.  Use the Heat Tool to set the embossing powder.
4.  Cut out the circles with Layering Circles Dies and the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  Then cut out the sailboat with the coordinating Smooth Sailing Die.
5.  If desired, use a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink to add a little color to the Basic White Circle.
6.  Color the sailboat with Stampin' Blends.
7.  Attach the layers.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue on everything except the sailboat.  (The sailboat was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals)

For the inside of the card, stamp the larger sailboat and 'Congrats' or another sentiment of your choice.

Several of my daughters' friends graduated this year, so I have been trying to create different cards for each of them.  I think this is a great card for a graduate.

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Please contact me if you have any questions, for a catalog (if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and live in the USA), or to Join!  You can also click the link at the top of my blog to sign up for my newsletter.

Happy Stamping!
