Stampin' Up!® Wildly Adorable

Stampin' Up!'s Wildly Adorable stamp set really is pretty adorable!  After all, who can resist babies dressed up as cuddly animals?  This card went together very quickly, even with fussy cutting the stamped image.  I used Stampin' Blends to color the baby 'lion' for this card, but I think Watercolor Pencils would also be a good choice for coloring these images.

Card Base ~ Soft Succulent Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Cinnamon Cider Cardstock ~ 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
Layer 2 ~ Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 3 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4-1/4" x 3"

scrap of Basic White Cardstock

  • Stamp the 'lion' with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the scrap of Basic White Cardstock
  • Color the lion with Stampin' Blends, then fussy cut around the image with Paper Snips
  • Use a Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up just the 'congratulations' in the Many Messages stamp.  Stamp it in the lower center of Layer 3
  • After getting an idea of where the lion will be, stamp 'wildly adorable' with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, as shown
  • Adhere Layer 1 to the card base, then layers 2 & 3
  • Attach the 'lion' with Stampin' Dimensionals

What do you think of this Ever Eden SPDS with this card?  I really liked the color contrast.

Happy Stamping!
