Stampin' Up! Hope & Prayer ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #747.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along. (Challenge ends April 5th).  The optional twist for this card is to stick with all black and white on your card.  I opted to use pink and white for this.  However, one of these days I plan to create another card with this sketch, using the black and white (maybe with a POP of pink!)

If you are like me, you probably end up with all kinds of paper scraps. The fun elements on this card were created with using some of those scraps.  I trimmed the pink cardstocks to 1/4" wide, then after adhering them to the white cardstock, I cut off the excess length.

The sentiment was stamped on a fairly large scrap, then die cut with a die from Nested Essentials Dies.  After stamping the cross on a much smaller scrap, I fussy cut around it with my trusty Paper Snips.  (Paper Snips are scissors perfect for cutting detailed images from paper)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I hope you are able to play along with this month's sketch.  Need more creative inspiration?  Be sure to look back at Sketch Saturday's past sketches.

Happy Stamping!
