Stampin' Up! Perennial Postage - Sketch Saturday

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #746.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along. (Challenge ends March 22nd).  The optional twist for this card, which I keep forgetting to look at ahead of time, is to feature an animal in your project.  That's a great twist...I might need to make another card!

For this card I cut several triangles from Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper.  I made sure my triangles were longer than I need them to be at both ends.  Once I had them adhered to my Calypso Coral Panel, I trimmed off the edges to make them even with that panel.

After adhering the panel to the Pretty Peacock Card Base, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on a scrap of Pretty Peacock Cardstock.  Then I set the embossing powder with my Heat Tool and fussy cut around the embossed sentiment with my Paper Snips.  I wanted the sentiment lifted up a little, so I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach it to my card before adding three small Rhinestones.

For the inside of the card I added another triangle of the designer series paper to the corner of the white panel.  I almost always add a white panel to the inside of my cards for a nice clean space to write on.  Plus, it gives me one more place to decorate!

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  Be sure to have a look at the cards the rest of Sketch Saturday's Design Team have created.  Then, play along with us.  We would love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!
